What is a Pivot Table?
- a way to analyze data without formulas
- can summarize data from a spreadsheet
- automatically updates as you add data
Ok, how do I make one?
Go to the Insert tab and select PivotTable
Then select the data you want
Now make your table
Ordering and Filtering
- change what column to order your table by
- exclude any data you don't want
- filter the results
Tips
- Play around with different tables
- Move fields around to change the shape of the table
- Add formulas to get extra data
- Don't be scared – the original data isn't changed
